Our Philosophy of Mission
McDonald Presbyterian Church has always been committed to mission work and giving and we continue to be guided by the Biblical mandate to help others and to spread the message of Jesus Christ to a hurting world. For us the command to spread the Gospel to all nations is a call to action in which we must participate. We contribute to the work of many different organizations and have developed several special partnerships, some of which are highlighted here. Our members pray for Christian workers around the world and actively serve as ministers to our own community.
Jesus came to them and said: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirt and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
